Aegishjalmur

Aegishjalmur is a legendary artifact from Akureyri, Iceland, dated to ~300 AD (Classical antiquity).

The Helm of Awe (Ægishjálmur in Icelandic, Œgishjalmr in Old Norse), also known as the Helm of Terror, appears in Norse mythology as an object connected to the treasure guarded by the dragon Fáfnir. The term later became associated with a distinct type of Icelandic magical symbol.
