Cantre'r Gwaelod

Cantre'r Gwaelod, also known as Cantref Gwaelod or Cantref y Gwaelod (Welsh for "The Lowland Hundred"), is a legendary ancient sunken kingdom that supposedly existed in what is now Cardigan Bay off the western coast of Wales. According to legend, this fertile land stretched between Ramsey Island and Bardsey Island before being lost to the sea. Often called the "Welsh Atlantis," this mythical realm has become an enduring part of Welsh folklore, literature, and musical tradition.
