Nemean Lion

The Nemean lion was a fearsome beast in Greek mythology that terrorized the region of Nemea. This was no ordinary lion - its golden fur was completely impenetrable to any mortal weapon, and its razor-sharp claws could slice through the strongest armor as if it were paper. According to ancient tales, the creature was the brother of Ladon, the mighty dragon who guarded the golden apples of the Hesperides.
The Legendary Creature seemed invincible until it faced Heracles (also known as Hercules) as the first of his twelve labors. Since no weapon could pierce the lion's magical hide, Heracles was forced to use his incredible strength to strangle the beast with his bare hands. After defeating it, he used the lion's own claws to skin it, and wore its impenetrable pelt as armor during his future adventures.
