Michigan Dogman

In folklore, the Michigan Dogman is a creature allegedly first witnessed in 1887 in Wexford County, Michigan. It was described as a seven-foot tall bipedal canine-like being with blue or amber eyes, the torso of a man, and a terrifying howl that resembles a human scream. According to legends, the Michigan Dogman appears in a ten-year cycle during years ending in 7 and can supposedly be driven away by loud clapping. Reported sightings have occurred in various locations across Michigan, with most concentrated in the northwestern quadrant of the Lower Peninsula.
