Jason

Jason (/ˈdʒeɪsən/ JAY-sən; Ancient Greek: Ἰάσων, romanized: Iásōn [i.ǎːsɔːn]) was an ancient Greek mythological hero who led the Argonauts on their legendary quest for the Golden Fleece. Born the son of Aeson, the rightful king of Iolcos, Jason later married the sorceress Medea, granddaughter of the sun god Helios.

His adventures featured prominently in classical Greek and Roman literature, most notably in the epic poem Argonautica and the tragedy Medea. In modern times, Jason's story continues to inspire adaptations, including the 1963 film Jason and the Argonauts and a 2000 TV miniseries sharing the same title.
