Brân the Blessed, known in Welsh as Bendigeidfran or Brân Fendigaidd (meaning "Blessed Crow"), is a legendary giant and king of Britain in Welsh mythology. While he is mentioned in several of the Welsh Triads, his most prominent appearance is in the Second Branch of the Mabinogi, the tale of Branwen ferch Llŷr. He is the son of Llŷr and Penarddun, and the brother of Branwen, Manawydan, Nisien, and Efnysien. His name, Brân, is commonly understood in Welsh to mean "crow" or "raven."
