Amma

In the mythology of the Dogon people of Mali in West Africa, Amma is revered as the supreme god. Amma created a "cosmic egg," the origin of the universe. The egg vibrated and opened, unveiling a creator spirit, which then descended to earth. Accompanying the spirit were a female twin and four other pairs of creator spirits. Together, they shaped the sky, the world, the seasons, day and night, and the structure of human society.
