Glaucus

📍 Anthedon , Palestine Deity ~1500 BC
Glaucus

Glaucus was a prophetic sea-god in Greek mythology who began life as a mortal before achieving immortality through a magical herb. His transformation led him to become a divine protector of sailors and fishermen during storms, drawing on his own experience as a seafarer. The name Glaucus (Γλαῦκος, *Glaûkos*) comes from the Greek word meaning "glimmering" or "gleaming."
