Agamemnon

In Greek mythology, Agamemnon was the king of Mycenae, a powerful kingdom in legendary Greece. As the leader of the Greeks during the Trojan War, he plays a central role in Homer's Iliad, the epic poem about the conflict. Greek writers typically depict Agamemnon as brave, yet also arrogant and excessively proud—flaws that often lead to misfortune and, ultimately, his death.
